Each CALYX HAT is powered by an embedded cellular modem derived directly from Teltonika’s industrial router range. That means genuine long-term reliability and full compliance with industrial EMC and safety standards.

CALYX boards connect to the Raspberry Pi through the 40-pin header, draw regulated 5 V DC power and support USB data transfer for integration with custom Linux applications. The result is a compact but rugged platform suited to telemetry, edge computing, and mobile infrastructure.

CALYX EBD021 – 4G LTE Cat 4 Pi HAT

The Teltonika EBD021 delivers dependable 4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity (up to 75 Mbps DL / 50 Mbps UL) with 3G and 2G fallback. It’s the ideal entry point for field gateways and low-to-medium bandwidth IoT nodes where resilience and coverage matter most.

CALYX EBD050 – 5G Pi HAT

For higher throughput and low-latency applications, the Teltonika EBD050 integrates a 5G NR (Sub-6 GHz) modem (3GPP Release 16) offering up to 2.4 Gbps downlink and 900 Mbps uplink, with LTE Cat 19 fallback. It’s perfect for engineers pushing edge AI, video analytics or real-time process control.

CALYX EBD070 – 5G RedCap Pi HAT

The Teltonika EBD070 introduces 5G RedCap (Reduced Capability) — the middle ground between LTE Cat 4 and full 5G. Designed for power-sensitive industrial IoT, it provides up to 223 Mbps DL / 123 Mbps UL and dramatically lower energy use.
